Journal of Anxiety Disorders is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the understanding, assessment, treatment, and prevention of anxiety disorders. It welcomes submissions on anxiety disorders in current and former diagnostic classifications, including topics such as assessment, diagnosis, neuroscience, genetics, sociocultural factors, mechanisms and comorbidities, epidemiology, treatments, prevention, implementation science, theory, and policy, with methodologies including clinical trials, experimental paradigms, intensive longitudinal designs, mixed methods, and qualitative approaches.

Abstract Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be concise, factual, and able to stand alone.
Manuscript Original Research manuscripts are limited to 6000 words of main text, excluding the cover page, abstract, and references. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections, with the abstract excluded from section numbering. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, provide 3 to 5 highlights as a separate editable file, complete the declarations tool with a competing interests declaration, and include a declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies when applicable.
References References may be submitted in any consistent style or format. References must include author names, source title information, year, and volume, article number, or pagination where applicable, and any work cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Figures & Tables Manuscripts are limited to 5 tables and 5 figures. Tables must be submitted as editable text and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. All tables and figures must be cited in the text, numbered in order of appearance, and accompanied by captions.
