Original Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with the submission. Cover letter should briefly state the study aim and main findings, explain fit with the journal’s scope, and emphasize novelty and broader implications.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract should be concise, factual, and unstructured.
Manuscript Original Research manuscripts must not exceed 4000 words all inclusive or 20 double-spaced typed pages in total. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. Original Research must include a table of contents summary of no more than 100 words, 5 to 10 keywords, declarations completed, and any generative AI use declared in a section before the references list.
References Original Research manuscripts may include up to 30 references. References must be cited using superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance and listed numerically in that same order, with journal names abbreviated according to LTWA.
Figures & Tables Original Research manuscripts may include up to 8 figures and up to 4 tables. Tables must be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, and figures must be supplied as separate files. Tables must be editable text with captions, and all figures and tables must be cited and numbered consecutively in the manuscript.

Review Article

Manuscript Technical Reports have a strict 1500-word limit including the abstract, tables, and figure legends. Technical Reports should include a brief introduction and full methods and results sections. Manuscript Case Reports must not exceed 400 words. Case Reports must contain concise statements on patient presentation and further management. Case Reports must include three multiple-choice questions pertinent to the case, each with five possible answers and one correct answer, and any use of generative AI in manuscript preparation must be declared in a new section before the references list.
References Case Reports may include no more than two references. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance and listed in the same numerical order, with journal names abbreviated according to LTWA.
Figures & Tables Figures must be supplied as separate files, while figure legends must not be provided separately for Case Reports and should instead be referred to and, if necessary, explained in the manuscript body. Case Reports require high-quality figures, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images.
