Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology is an international peer-reviewed journal of hepatology published by the Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL). It publishes basic and clinical papers on all aspects of liver diseases, including human and animal studies, and is aimed at gastroenterologists, hepatologists, liver transplant surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and others involved in liver disease research and treatment.

Original Manuscripts

Abstract Original Manuscripts must include a structured abstract. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 6,000 words including the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends. Manuscript must be arranged as Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References. Manuscript must include keywords below the abstract, author contributions on the cover page, and Credit authorship contribution statement, Conflicts of interest, Abbreviations, Funding, and any generative AI declaration sections, with 'None' stated for Funding and Conflicts of interest when applicable.
References References must not exceed 50. References must be numbered in order of first appearance, cited in superscript in the text, placed at the end of the manuscript, and list all authors when there are six or fewer or the first six followed by et al. when there are seven or more.
Figures & Tables Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, captions to illustrations must be provided separately, and each table must be typed on a separate page. Figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript, illustrations must be numbered according to their sequence in the text, figure legends must include the figure number, title, and enough explanation to understand the figure, and tables must be numbered consecutively and have a title.
