Submission Instructions

Journal of Integrative Neuroscience accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Original Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must briefly summarize the important points of the work and state that the manuscript is an original novel study, has not been previously submitted to or accepted by another journal, has been approved by all authors, and disclose any conflicts of interest.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include a Clinical Trial Registration heading when applicable, giving the unique identifier and the URL of the publicly accessible trial registry website.
Manuscript Original Research Articles have a recommended maximum length of 6000 words excluding references. The manuscript must include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections. Provide a word count for the main text, a separate word count for the abstract, 3–10 keywords after the abstract, the number of figures and tables, a conflicts of interest section, and a Declaration of AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process section when AI tools were used.
References References must be cited as sequential numbers in square brackets and listed numerically, consistent with Vancouver-style numbering. List all authors when a reference has fewer than six authors, list the first six followed by “et al.” when there are more than six authors, use standard journal titles, and include page numbers.
