Journal of Microbiology, Immunology and Infection, launched in 1968, is the official bi-monthly publication of the Taiwan Society of Microbiology, the Chinese Society of Immunology, the Infectious Diseases Society of Taiwanand the Taiwan Society of Parasitology. It is an open access journal covering microbiology, immunology, infectious diseases, and parasitology, and considers clinical or laboratory investigations and novel findings in basic and clinical research relevant to the medical profession.

Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for submission. Cover letter must provide the contact details of the first and corresponding authors and include a statement signed by all authors.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Review Article text must not exceed 3500 words excluding the abstract and references. Manuscript must include a title page, abstract, text, conflicts of interest statement if any, acknowledgments if any, references, and figures and tables as appropriate. Three to five relevant keywords in alphabetical order must be provided, and any use of generative AI in manuscript preparation must be declared in a statement placed before the references list.
References Review Articles must include no more than 50 references. References must be cited as superscript numbers in order of appearance and listed numerically, with up to 6 authors named in full or the first 6 followed by 'et al.' for 7 or more authors.
Figures & Tables Text, references, and table and figure legends must be placed in one file, while figures must be submitted as separate picture files. Tables and figures should not extensively repeat data already given in the text.

Manuscript Original Articles must not exceed 3000 words excluding the abstract and references. Original Articles must include the section headings Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conflicts of Interest Statement if any, Acknowledgments if any, and References. The manuscript must include three to five relevant keywords in alphabetical order and a declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies placed before the references list.
References Original Articles must include no more than 40 references. References must be cited as superscripted numbers in consecutive order of appearance and listed numerically, with up to 6 authors named in full and 7 or more authors shortened to the first 6 followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Figures must be submitted as separate picture files, while text, references, and table and figure legends must be placed in one file. Original Articles should not repeat data extensively in the text and in tables or figures.
