Research Article
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required as a separate doc, docx, or pdf file. The cover letter must state that all authors approved the manuscript, authorship requirements were met, the work is honest, and it must provide the corresponding author’s name, address, email, and telephone number.
Abstract
A structured, informative abstract is required. The abstract must be 250-400 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings introduction, methods, results, and conclusion and include 3-5 keywords.
Manuscript
The main text must be 3000-5000 words. The manuscript should be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections, with the discussion limited to 3-5 paragraphs and no more than 4 pages. The manuscript must include 3-5 keywords after the abstract and disclose any use of generative AI technology in the acknowledgment section, including the software name, version, and what was generated.
References
Research Articles may include up to 50 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention and use superscript Arabic numerals in square brackets after punctuation, with et al used after the third author only when there are more than four authors.
Figures & Tables
Research Articles may include up to 6 tables and figures combined. Tables must be placed at the end of the manuscript after the references, and figures must be uploaded separately. Tables must be editable rather than embedded as images and each table must include a short self-explanatory title.
Review Article
Cover Letter
Cover letter is required. Cover letter must state that all authors approved the manuscript, authorship requirements were met, the work is honest, and provide the corresponding author’s name, address, email, and telephone number.
Abstract
Abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and 250-400 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must be a single paragraph followed by 3-5 keywords.
Manuscript
Main text must not exceed 6000 words. Manuscript should generally be divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections. Manuscript must include 3-5 keywords after the abstract and disclose any use of generative or AI-based technology in the acknowledgment section or methods section as appropriate, including the software name, version, and what was generated.
References
References may include up to 100 sources. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention and use et al after the 3rd author only when there are more than 4 authors.
