Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 500 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 5000 words. The manuscript must follow the order title page, abstract, keywords, main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgments, declaration of interest statement, references, appendices as appropriate, table(s) with caption(s) on individual pages, figures, and figure captions as a list. The manuscript must include 3 to 6 keywords and a declaration of interest statement.
References NLM reference style. References must use the journal's NLM style and cite relevant, timely, verified literature with peer-reviewed sources where appropriate.
Figures & Tables Figures must be saved separately from the text, and tables should be supplied as editable files. Tables should present new information and be interpretable without reference to the text.
