Original Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must be 250 words or less. Abstract should be structured.
Manuscript Body text must not exceed 3,500 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and illustrations. Manuscript must include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, Conflicts of Interest, Funding, References, Legends for Illustrations, Tables, and Illustrations. Manuscript must include up to four keywords beneath the abstract selected from the Keywords List in the e-submission system.
References References should be approximately 30 citations with a maximum of 50. References must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, journal titles must be abbreviated according to Index Medicus, and references with more than six authors must list the first six followed by “et al.”.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include a maximum of seven tables and up to 15 figures. Tables and illustrations must not be embedded in the body of the text, and illustration locations must be indicated within the text. Tables must be numbered consecutively in citation order, have a brief title, be cited in the text, and explain nonstandard abbreviations in footnotes.

Case Reports

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for Case Reports when there is no Materials and Methods section. The cover letter must provide IRB approval when the Case Report does not have a Materials and Methods section.
Abstract An abstract is required for Case Reports. The abstract must be 250 words.
Manuscript The manuscript body must not exceed 3,500 words. Case Reports preferably include introduction, diagnosis and etiology, treatment objectives, treatment alternatives, treatment progress, results, discussion, and conclusions.
References Case Reports may include up to 30 references. References must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, journal titles must use Index Medicus abbreviations, and references with more than six authors must list the first six followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Case Reports may include up to 15 figures and up to 5 tables. Tables and illustrations must not be embedded in the manuscript text, and illustration locations must be indicated in the text.

Brief Report

Abstract Abstract must be under 150 words. Abstract is not required to be structured.
Manuscript Main text must be under 1,500 words.
