Periodontology 2000

Periodontology 2000 is a series of richly illustrated monographs focused on periodontal research, providing a supplement to existing periodontal journals for periodontists and general dentistry practitioners with an interest in periodontics. Each volume is prepared by a guest editor and covers a significant topic identified by the editorial board. The journal publishes three volumes each year in February, June and October.

Submission Instructions

Periodontology 2000 is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Review Paper

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must contain the headings Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Clinical Relevance only.
Manuscript Manuscript must contain the sections abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusions, with the main body organized under appropriate headings. Manuscript must include up to seven keywords.
References References may be submitted in any consistent style or format. References must be arranged in order of appearance, numbered consecutively, and cited in the text, tables, and legends with superscript Arabic numerals.
Figures & Tables Manuscript may be submitted as a single document with text, figures, and tables embedded or with figures and tables provided as separate files. Figures and tables must have legends, each table must include a title and footnotes, and figure legends must appear beneath each image during upload and as a complete list in the text.
