Research/Clinical Science Article

Cover Letter A submission letter is required only when more than four authors are included. The submission letter must justify the inclusion of more than four authors.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract should be approximately 400 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include the headings Statement of problem, Purpose, Material and methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript should be no longer than 10 to 12 double-spaced typed pages. The manuscript must be written in complete sentences and paragraph form and should include Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions, with the Introduction ending in the study objective and research hypothesis and the Discussion beginning by stating whether the data support rejecting the null hypothesis. The manuscript must include Clinical Implications in 2 to 4 sentences, a CRediT statement, a declaration of interest statement, and any generative AI declaration in a section placed before the references.
References References to foreign language publications are limited to no more than 3. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals and listed manually in numerical order on a separate page after the Conclusions section, with up to six authors listed before adding et al. for seven or more.
Figures & Tables The article may include no more than 12 illustrations. Tables must be placed at the end of the manuscript after the reference list and before the figures, and each figure must be submitted as a separate file with captions supplied separately in the manuscript text. Text, tables, and figures must not repeat each other, and each figure and table must be cited in the text by number in parentheses at the end of the appropriate sentence before closing punctuation.

Systematic Review

Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include Statement of Problem, Purpose, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Systematic Reviews should not exceed 10 to 12 double-spaced, typed pages. The text must include an introduction, methods, results, discussion, authors’ conclusions, acknowledgments, and conflicts of interest. The manuscript must include a CRediT statement and a declaration of generative AI use in a section placed before the references list.
References References should follow JPD format. References must be identified with superscript Arabic numerals and listed in numerical order using Vancouver-style formatting with up to six authors before adding et al.
Figures & Tables Tables must appear at the end of the manuscript after the reference list and before the figures, and each illustration must be uploaded as a separate file with captions supplied separately. Each figure and table must be cited in the text by number, and tables must be submitted in Microsoft Word.

References References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals and listed in numerical order, with up to six authors named before using et al. for seven or more, and most or all references should first be cited in the Introduction and/or Clinical Report section.
Figures & Tables Clinical Reports may include no more than 8 illustrations. Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, while all tables must appear at the end of the manuscript after the reference list and before the figures. Figure captions must be provided separately in the manuscript text rather than within figure files.

References must be cited in the text with superscript Arabic numerals and listed in numerical order, manually numbered, with up to six authors before using et al. for seven or more.
Figures & Tables No more than 8 illustrations are permitted. Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file, while all tables must be placed at the end of the manuscript after the reference list and before the figures. Figures must have captions provided separately rather than within the figure file, and tables must be submitted one per page in Microsoft Word.
