Surveillance Summary

Cover Letter Cover letter is required only to describe any use of artificial intelligence-assisted technologies in the development of the work. Cover letter must describe any use of artificial intelligence-assisted technologies in the development of the work and assert that there is no plagiarism, including in AI-generated text and images.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include Problem/Condition, Reporting Period, Description of System, Results, Interpretation, and Public Health Action.
Manuscript There is no word limit for Serial reports. Manuscript must state whether artificial intelligence-assisted technologies were used and describe their use in the submitted work.
References There is no limit on the number of references unless established prior to submission. References must follow The Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals. References must be cited in numerical order in the text with italicized parenthetical numbers, journal names abbreviated according to PubMed, and up to six authors or editors listed before using the first three followed by "et al."
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be submitted in separate files and must not be embedded in the text. Bar graphs and line graphs must include underlying data tables.
