Neonatology is a journal focused on fetal and neonatal research, covering neonatology, fetal medicine, and developmental biology. Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must describe the knowledge gap addressed, explain the implications and significance of the research, outline fit with the journal scope, and emphasize the manuscript's unique contributions.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract should contain 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Main text should contain 2500 words. Manuscript must include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include 3–5 keywords, the statements section with Conflict of Interest Statement, Funding Sources, Author Contributions, and Data Availability Statement, and a graphical abstract should be provided.
References References should total approximately 25 key references. Citations must use sequential Arabic numerals in square brackets. Reference list must include only cited sources, be ordered numerically by citation sequence, and list up to 6 authors before adding "et al.".
Figures & Tables Manuscript should contain a total of 4–6 figures or tables. Tables and figures must be submitted as separate files rather than embedded in the manuscript, with figure legends placed at the end of the manuscript text. Graphical abstract must be submitted as a single JPG image file and should not include reference citations.

Manuscript Body text must not exceed 1500 words. Manuscript must follow the same structure as a full-length Research Article and include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. Manuscript must include 3–5 keywords, the required statements section after the main text and before the references, figure legends, and a graphical abstract.
References References must total 10–15. References must be cited sequentially in the text using Arabic numerals in square brackets, listed numerically in citation order, and include no more than 6 authors before adding "et al.".
Figures & Tables No more than 2 figures or tables are allowed. Tables and figures must be submitted as separate files, with one file per figure, and figure legends must appear at the end of the manuscript text after the reference list. A graphical abstract is required as a single JPG image file with a maximum size of 32 × 14 cm and 4800 × 2100 pixels, and text within it must use Arial 9–12 pt without reference citations.
