Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must be signed by all contributors and include statements of originality, previous publication or presentation, source of funding, conflicts of interest, and the corresponding author's identification and email address.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and must not exceed 400 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 6000 words excluding abstract, tables, figure legends, and references. Manuscript must be divided into Abstract, Key-words, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Tables, and Figure legends. Manuscript must include at least 10 keywords, a graphical abstract with a title different from the paper title, and disclosure of any generative AI or AI-assisted technologies used and their purpose in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References References must total 50-100, with no more than 5 from the same journal and no more than 3 from the same author. References must be listed alphabetically by the surname of the first author, must not be numbered or bulleted, should abbreviate journal titles according to Index Medicus, and should cite papers with more than 20 authors as Author A et al.
Figures & Tables Original Articles must include at least 6 figures and/or tables. Tables must be provided at the end of the text after the references, figure legends must be included at the end of the article file, and images must not be incorporated into the article file. Manuscript must include a graphical abstract that summarizes the article in concise pictorial form and has a title different from the paper title.

Invited Review Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Invited Review Articles. Abstract must not exceed 400 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must contain at least 8000 words excluding the abstract, table notes, figure legends, and references. Manuscript must provide an in-depth description of a hot topic in neural regeneration with the author's analytical insights and include the retrieval strategy. Manuscript must include 8–10 keywords that do not overlap with the title, a timeline figure depicting historical milestones, comparison tables for new technologies or methods, and disclosure of any generative AI tool used and its purpose in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References References must include at least 100 entries, with no more than 5 from the same journal and no more than 3 from the same author. References must be listed in alphabetical order by the first author's surname, must not be numbered or bulleted, journal titles must use Index Medicus abbreviations, lists with more than 20 authors should be shortened to the first author followed by et al., and more than 50% of references should be from the preceding 5 years.
Figures & Tables Invited Review Articles must include at least 6 figures and/or tables. Tables must be placed at the end of the text after the references, figure legends must be included at the end of the article file, images must not be incorporated into the article file, and figures must be uploaded separately. Tables must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and have brief titles, and each figure must have a single legend containing all pertinent information.

Long Review

Cover Letter A 1-page outline of the article must be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief for approval before preparing the full Long Review.
Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Long Reviews. The abstract must not exceed 400 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript should be around 10,000-12,000 words excluding the abstract, table notes, figure legends, and references. The manuscript must include the sections Text, Limitations, Conclusion, Author contribution, Conflict of interest, and References, and end with a brief summary, a strong take-home message, and a clear indication of future research. The manuscript must include 8-10 keywords, a vertical timeline figure, a short summary of the contributors' work in the field, and an AI disclosure in the Methods or Acknowledgments section if generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used.
References The manuscript must include 100-150 references. More than 70% of cited literature must be from the past five years, references must be listed alphabetically by the first author's surname without numbering or bullets, and references with more than 20 authors should be cited as the first author followed by et al.
Figures & Tables The manuscript must include at least 3 figures and/or tables. Tables must be placed at the end of the text after the references, figure legends must appear at the end of the article file, images must not be incorporated into the article file, and Long Reviews must include a vertical timeline figure. The timeline figure must visually represent research progress and important scientific events reflecting the author's analytical perspective.

Letter To The Editor

Cover Letter A covering letter is required. The covering letter must be signed by all contributors and include previous publication or presentation information, funding sources, conflict of interest disclosures, and the corresponding author's identification and email address.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Any use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed in the manuscript, including the specific tool used and its purpose, in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References References must be listed alphabetically by the surname of the first author, must not be numbered or bulleted, and citations with more than 20 authors should be shortened to the first author followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Tables must be included at the end of the text after the references, figure legends must be included at the end of the article file, and images must not be incorporated into the article file. Tables with more than 10 columns and 25 rows are not acceptable.

Average time from submission to first editorial decision is 1 month, with the initial decision averaging 4-6 weeks. Manuscripts not conforming to guidelines may be returned within 7 working days.
