Research Reports
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. Cover letter must indicate why the manuscript is suitable for publication.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript
Research Reports are usually between 2000 and 4000 words. Main manuscript should generally include Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Statements and Declarations, and References. Manuscript must include a plain language summary and plain language title in the submission system, a minimum of 4 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions heading after Acknowledgements, and a Statements and Declarations section with each required subheading.
References
References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and every reference list entry must be cited in the text.
Figures & Tables
Figures and charts created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word should be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text. Figures must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, and tables must be labeled as tables with a number and title and be editable within Word rather than submitted as images.

Case Reports must not exceed 1500 words. Case Reports should include a brief introduction, a detailed description of the clinical case, and a succinct summary of the implications for daily clinical care or for further research. Include a plain language summary and plain language title in the submission system for article types that require an abstract, include a minimum of 4 keywords after the abstract, include an Author Contributions heading after the Acknowledgements section, and include a Statements and Declarations section at the end of the article after the Acknowledgements section and Author Contributions section if applicable.
References
References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding citation in the reference list and vice versa.

An abstract is required for Letters To The Editor relating to a specific issue or case history. The abstract must be no more than 100 words for Letters To The Editor relating to a specific issue or case history. The abstract must be structured.
Manuscript
Letters To The Editor must be 1000 words or less. Letters To The Editor relating to a specific issue or case history must have no subdivisions other than the abstract. Letters To The Editor relating to a specific issue or case history must include a Plain Language Summary, and the manuscript must include an Author Contributions section and a Statements and Declarations section.
