Reviews

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required for Reviews. The abstract should be 150–250 words in length. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Reviews have a 4000-word limit. The manuscript should be arranged in the order title, author(s), affiliation(s), abstract, text, acknowledgments, funding, competing interest, and references. The manuscript must include author contributions, funding, competing interests, and documentation of any large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable part of the manuscript if no Methods section is available.
References Reviews have no reference limit. References must be numbered in order of appearance and cited in the text using numbers in brackets, with all authors listed up to six and the first six followed by “et al.” when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Reviews may include up to 5 display items, including figures and tables. Figures with captions may be embedded within the manuscript to assist reviewers and editors, but separate figure source files must also be submitted, while tables may be included at the end of the manuscript or supplied as separate files. Any non-generative machine learning manipulation of existing images or figures must be disclosed in the relevant caption, and any permitted AI-generated images or videos must be clearly labeled as generated by AI within the image field.
