Original Investigations

Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured and concise and factual.
Manuscript
Original Investigations should generally be 15–24 typewritten pages including tables, figures, and references. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The submission must include 1 to 7 keywords, 3 to 5 highlights submitted as a separate editable file, and a generative AI declaration in a section placed before the references when applicable.
References
References may be submitted in any consistent style or format, with in-text citations using author names and years. The reference list must be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically if needed, and citations with three or more authors must use the first author's name followed by et al. and the year.
Figures & Tables
Tables should be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, while figures must be supplied as separate files. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions and figures must each have a caption and be cited in the manuscript text.

Mini-Reviews should generally be no more than 5000 words excluding references, with the word length reduced by about 300 words for each figure or table included. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, submission highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points, and a generative AI declaration in a section placed before the references when applicable.
References
Mini-Reviews should generally include no more than 60 references. References may be submitted in any consistent style or format, but text citations must use author names and year. The reference list must be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically if necessary, with journal names abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables
Mini-Reviews may include 2 to 3 figures and tables per article. Tables should be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, while figures must be supplied as separate files. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions and all figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text.
Review Articles
Cover Letter
A letter of interest is required before submission of a Review Article. The letter of interest must be accompanied by a brief outline of the proposed review of less than 2 pages.

Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, submission highlights consisting of 3 to 5 bullet points, and a generative AI disclosure statement before the references if AI tools were used.

References must use an author-date citation style. Text citations should use author name and year, citations with three or more authors should use the first author followed by 'et al.' and the year, and the reference list should be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically if necessary.
