Annals of Hepatology is an international open access journal in hepatology published bi-monthly with funds from Fundación Clínica Médica Sur. It is the official journal of the Mexican Association of Hepatology, the Latin American Association for the Study of the Liver, the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver, and the Czech Society of Hepatology, and publishes editorials, opinions, concise reviews, original articles, brief reports, letters to the editor, news from affiliated associations, clinical practice guidelines, and summaries of congresses focused on liver disease and translational research.

Concise Reviews

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no longer than 5,000 words. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections using headings. Manuscript must include 1 to 6 keywords in English, and any use of generative AI in manuscript preparation must be declared in a new section before the references list.
References References must not exceed 150. Citations must use superscript numbers in the text, references must be numbered in order of appearance, references with more than 6 authors must list the first 6 followed by et al., and journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Tables must be included in the anonymized manuscript, while figures and other artwork must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions and cited in the manuscript text, and all artwork must have captions and be cited in the manuscript text.
