Neuroscientist is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Review Articles

Cover Letter Writing or editing assistance from a third party and any submission made by someone who is not an author must be disclosed in the covering letter.
Abstract Abstract should be a one-paragraph unstructured summary of 100-200 words. Abstract should be unstructured and presented as a single paragraph.
Manuscript Main text should be 4,500-5,500 words in length. Review article should be written for a general non-expert readership and explain specialized concepts and methods so that non-specialists can understand them. Include at least 5 keywords after the abstract and include Author Contributions and a Statements and Declarations section at the end of the article, with any required AI disclosure placed in the Acknowledgements or Methodology section.
References Reference list should contain about 60 selected references. References must follow CSE style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and every reference list entry must be cited in the text, with matching spelling and year.
Figures & Tables Up to four or five pages of figures and tables are allowed, corresponding to about 6-8 individual figures and tables, and up to two Boxes may be included. Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be embedded in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word should be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and each must include a number and title, and tables must be editable text rather than images.
