Cover Letter A cover letter is required. For industry-funded studies, the cover letter must address GPP3, and it must verify that permission has been obtained from all persons named in the acknowledgments.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be limited to 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract headings must be Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Funding Source for manuscripts with industry funding.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3,000 words. The manuscript must be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. The first page of the manuscript must contain the title and a one-sentence précis of no more than 25 words, and the manuscript must indicate the study's power to detect statistical difference.
References The manuscript must not exceed 30 references. References must be numbered consecutively in the order of first citation in the text and must include a DOI for all journal articles.
Figures & Tables The manuscript is limited to five figures or tables in total. For initial submission and peer review, each figure legend must be included with its figure on a separate page of the manuscript. Each figure must have an accompanying legend, and demographic information must be reported in tabular form.
