Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter should accompany the submission. The cover letter must briefly describe the work’s significance and identify the corresponding author with their complete mailing address.
Abstract Original Articles must include an abstract. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Materials and Methods or Patients and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript The manuscript text must not exceed 4,000 words. The text should be organized in the following order when appropriate: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and/or Summary, Acknowledgments, Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest, Author Contributions, Data Availability Statement, References, Figure legends, Tables, and Figures. Original Articles must include an Implications for Practice statement of less than 100 words that clearly explains the manuscript’s potential clinical impact in language comprehensible to a lay reader whenever possible.
References References must not exceed 100 entries. References must follow American Medical Association parent style. References must be numbered in the order in which they are cited in the text.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include a maximum of 7 display items. Tables must not be embedded within the manuscript and must be submitted as separate .doc files, and each figure must be submitted as an individual image file with legends included in the manuscript. Tables and figures must be numbered in the order cited in the text, tables must be titled, and figures must have legends.

Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter should accompany the submission. The cover letter must briefly describe the work’s significance and identify the corresponding author with the corresponding author’s complete mailing address.
Abstract An abstract is required for Review Articles. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract may be structured or unstructured at the authors’ preference.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words. The text should be divided in order into Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and/or Summary, Acknowledgments, Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest, Author Contributions, Data Availability Statement, References, Figure legends, Tables, and Figures when appropriate, and Review Articles must include a Materials and Methods section detailing how the literature review was planned, selection criteria, use of levels of evidence, and whether unpublished material was included. Review Articles must include an Implications for Practice statement of less than 100 words that clearly defines the manuscript’s potential clinical impact in lay-comprehensible language whenever possible.
References References must not exceed 150. References must follow American Medical Association parent style. References must be numbered in the order they are cited in the text.
Figures & Tables Review Articles must not exceed 7 figures and tables in total, and additional figures or tables should be provided as supplementary material. Tables must not be embedded within the manuscript, tables must be submitted as individual .doc files, figure titles and legends must appear in the manuscript file, and each figure must be submitted as an individual image file. Tables and figures must be numbered in the order they are cited in the text, tables must be titled, and figures must have a legend.

Clinical Trial Results

Cover Letter A cover letter should accompany the submission. Cover letter must briefly describe the work’s significance and identify the corresponding author with the corresponding author’s complete mailing address.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words or less. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion, and the conclusion must include the ClinicalTrials.gov identifier.
Manuscript Main text must not exceed 1,500 words, and the Discussion section should be less than 1000 words. Manuscript must use the CTR submission template and include Lessons Learned, trial information, drug information, study arm details, patient cohort description, assessment methods, response assessments, toxicity tables, and a Discussion stating whether the study was completed or terminated and summarizing the investigators’ assessment. Manuscript must include 1 to 3 bullet-point Lessons Learned and four to six keywords or phrases on the first page.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered in the order in which they are cited in the text.
Figures & Tables There is no firm figure or table count limit. Additional figures and tables should be placed at the end of the file in the Figures and Tables section, while journal-level table instructions also state that tables must not be embedded within the manuscript and must be submitted as individual .doc files. Tables must be provided as text rather than images, additional tables must match the template formatting, serious adverse events tables must report one patient per row, general toxicity profiles must use CTCAE, and Dose Limiting Toxicities must be presented in table format.

Tables are required, including considerations for clinical management while reviewing a molecular alteration report in clinic, and figures must have legends.
