Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for submission. The cover letter must explain the paper’s significance and fit with the journal, and include the statements that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere and that all authors approved the manuscript and agree to its submission to Pharmaceuticals.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract should be around 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript should include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and optional Conclusions. The manuscript must include back matter comprising Supplementary Materials, Author Contributions, Funding, Data Availability Statement, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References, and for multi-author papers it must provide a short paragraph specifying each author’s individual contributions.
References References may be in any style at submission if used consistently, and they must be numbered in order of appearance and listed individually at the end of the manuscript.
Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables must be inserted into the main text close to their first citation. Figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order of appearance and all must have a short explanatory title and caption.

Review

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with the submission. The cover letter must explain the paper's significance and fit to the journal scope and include the statements that the manuscript is not under consideration or published elsewhere and that all authors approved the manuscript and agree to its submission to Pharmaceuticals.
Abstract An abstract is required as part of the front matter. The abstract must be a single paragraph of no more than 200 words. The abstract should follow a structured IMRAD style without headings.
Manuscript Review manuscripts must include front matter with Title, Author list, Affiliations, Abstract, and Keywords, a logically organized literature review with sections and subsections such as Introduction, Relevant Sections, Discussion, Conclusions, and Future Directions, and back matter with Author Contributions, Acknowledgments, Conflicts of Interest, and References. The manuscript must include 3 to 10 keywords and an author contribution statement clarifying who was responsible for ideation, literature search and/or data analysis, and drafting and revision, and any GenAI use for generating text, data, graphics, study design, or data work must be declared during submission.
References References must be numbered in order of appearance in the text. References may be submitted in any consistent style and must include author names, source title, article or chapter title where required, year, volume and issue where appropriate, and pagination, and be listed individually at the end of the manuscript.
Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables must be inserted into the main text close to their first citation. Figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order of appearance and each must have a short explanatory title and caption, and tables must be editable rather than supplied as images.

Scoping Review

Figures & Tables Figures, schemes, and tables must be inserted into the main text close to their first citation, and the PRISMA flow diagram must be included in the main text. Figures, schemes, and tables must be numbered in order of appearance and each must have a short explanatory title and caption.

The manuscript must include 3 to 10 keywords after the abstract and include declarations such as funding information, author contributions, conflict of interest, and a GenAI use declaration when applicable.
References References may be submitted in any consistent style and must be numbered in order of appearance and listed individually at the end of the manuscript.
