Original Research

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A concise and factual abstract is required. Unstructured abstracts must not exceed 200 words and structured abstracts must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript The manuscript must include a 'Contribution of paper' section after the abstract and before the keywords, presented as two or three short bullet points covering the key messages and the new knowledge added by the study, and it must also include a declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process before the references if applicable.
References References are limited to 40. Vancouver numbered style must be used. References must be cited in the text with square-bracketed numbers and listed in numerical order of appearance, and for works with more than 6 authors the first 6 must be listed followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Figures must be submitted as separate files, while tables and figure legends must be presented on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images.

The structured summary must include as applicable Background or context, Objectives, Data sources, Study selection or eligibility criteria, Study appraisal and synthesis methods or Data Extraction and Data Synthesis, Results, Limitations, Conclusion and implications of key findings, Funding, and Systematic review registration number.
Manuscript The manuscript must include a 'Contribution of paper' section after the abstract and before the keywords containing two or three short bullet points on the key messages and new knowledge added, and if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation a declaration section must appear before the references.
