IDCases

IDCases is dedicated to publishing original single and series case reports in all aspects of infectious diseases. The journal recognizes the link between human and animal health and publishes instructive reports from the veterinary medicine perspective that support cross-disciplinary understanding of infectious diseases. It aims to reach an international audience of healthcare professionals and publishes instructive reports that expand the body of infectious diseases knowledge, including unusual clinical presentations, unexpected clinical courses or outcomes, unusual drug adverse reactions, unusual disease associations, diagnostic conundrums, illustrative medical images, rare diseases, and novel aspects of zoonotic diseases.

IDCases is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Case Reports

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript should preferably not exceed 2500 words. Manuscript must consist of Cover Page, Abstract, Introduction, Case, Discussion, Acknowledgements, Conflict of Interest Statement, and References. Manuscript must include a declaration of generative AI use in a new section before the references list if such tools were used in manuscript preparation.
References References are limited to a maximum of 20. References must be cited by number in square brackets and listed in numerical order, consistent with Vancouver style. For references with more than 6 authors, list the first 6 followed by 'et al.' and abbreviate journal names according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures are limited to 5. Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while tables must be submitted as editable text. All figures and tables must be cited in the text, numbered consecutively, and provided with captions.
