Pneumon is a single-blind peer-reviewed online-only open-access journal published in English. Since 1987, it has published original papers of international interest on laboratory and clinical research pertinent to lung biology and disease, covering respiratory medicine and related fields including allied health, cell and molecular biology, epidemiology, immunology, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, intensive and critical care, paediatric respiratory medicine, and thoracic surgery, with particular interest in registered clinical trials.

Manuscript Research Papers should generally be a maximum of 4000 words, excluding tables, references, abstract, and key points. Main text must include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 keywords and declarations of competing interests, funding, and author contributions.
References Research Papers should have no more than 36 references. References should follow AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition. References must be numbered sequentially in order of first appearance in the text and listed as a numbered reference list with superscript in-text citations.
Figures & Tables Articles should not contain more than five tables and no more than four figures. Tables and figures should be placed at the end of the manuscript, and figure files should also be submitted as individual files.
