Research Article

Cover Letter All authors must approve the article, and any use of generative AI tools in manuscript preparation must be declared upon submission.

Abstract A concise and factual abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. An unstructured abstract is generally required, except randomized trials must include a structured abstract. Randomized trials must use headings summarizing trial design, methods, results, and conclusions.

Manuscript Manuscript should be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections, with acknowledgements in a separate section directly before the references. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords, a declarations section before the references disclosing any generative AI use in manuscript preparation, and CRediT author contributions in the acknowledgements.

References References must be cited by number in square brackets in the text. References must be numbered in order of appearance, every in-text citation must appear in the reference list and vice versa, and journal names must be abbreviated according to LTWA.

Figures & Tables Tables must appear as editable text in the manuscript, while figures and other graphical media must be uploaded as separate files. Tables must be cited in the text, numbered consecutively, and include captions, and figures must be numbered in article order, each supplied as a separate file with a caption.
