Neurochemistry International is the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience and is devoted to the rapid publication of original articles and timely reviews in neurochemistry. It considers manuscripts across molecular and cellular neurochemistry, neuropharmacology, genetic aspects of CNS function, neuroimmunology, metabolism, and the neurochemistry of neurological and psychiatric disorders of the CNS, and also publishes special issues led by guest editors.

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections, with the abstract excluded from section numbering. The manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords, submission highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points in a separate editable file, and a generative AI declaration section placed before the references list.
References Citations in the text must follow author-year style. References may be submitted in any consistent style at submission, but the reference list must be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically if needed.
Figures & Tables Tables must be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, while figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be editable text rather than images and all figures and tables must be numbered consecutively, cited in the text, and provided with captions.
