Radiographics

RadioGraphics is a journal of the Radiological Society of North America that publishes radiology education content across subspecialty areas including obstetric and gynecologic imaging, pediatric imaging, gastrointestinal imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, chest imaging, vascular and interventional radiology, genitourinary imaging, and informatics. The journal highlights current and past issues, multimedia, trending articles, and invited commentary, and it publishes original materials selected for solicitation from among the education exhibits at the RSNA Annual Meeting.

Submission Instructions

Radiographics is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Manuscript

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for Manuscript submissions. The cover letter must include any request and justification for equal-contribution authorship and a statement identifying which author or authors had control of the data and performed analyses.
Abstract An abstract is required for Manuscript submissions. The abstract must be 225–250 words. The abstract must be unstructured. The abstract must include the main topic, the purpose or rationale, the most pertinent facts without references, and a conclusion.
Manuscript The body text is limited to 5,000 words, excluding the abstract, summary statement, references, and figure legends. The manuscript body must include an introduction, logically organized headed sections, and a conclusion, and it must not use the research article subheads “Materials and Methods,” “Results,” or “Discussion.” The manuscript must include a full title page, an abbreviated title page with the manuscript title only, a one-sentence summary statement of no more than 60 words, and 5 Teaching Points marked in the body text, and authors must disclose at submission whether AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in preparing the manuscript.
References The manuscript may include a maximum of 75 references. References must follow AMA style and use the style used in PubMed for print journal articles. References must be placed after the body text and conclusion, numbered consecutively in order of first citation, list all authors when there are 6 or fewer and the first 3 followed by “et al” when there are 7 or more, and unpublished materials must not be listed in the references.
Figures & Tables The manuscript may include a maximum of 50 individual figures and figure parts and up to 20 supplemental materials. Each image must be inserted below the correct figure legend in the figure legends and image files document, while multipart figures must be uploaded as separate image files with their own legends. Tables must be numbered consecutively and used to amplify rather than duplicate the text, and figures must be numbered consecutively with legends provided for each figure or figure part.

Letters To The Editor

Cover Letter A cover letter must state which author or authors had control of the data and performed analyses.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Letters to the Editor must be 350 words or less. Letters to the Editor must address a full-length article published in RadioGraphics within the past 6 months and provide constructive comments, additional insights, opinions, or questions that encourage discourse. Any use of AI or AI-assisted technologies in preparing the manuscript must be disclosed at submission.
References Letters to the Editor may include no more than 5 references. Statements taken from other sources that cannot be paraphrased without loss of meaning must include a descriptive source phrase and a numbered reference cited in the text.
Figures & Tables Letters to the Editor must not include figures or tables.
