La radiologia medica is a peer-reviewed journal and the official journal of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology. It publishes results and developments in radiology, particularly advances in diagnostic imaging and allied sciences, and covers basic and clinical aspects of modern radiology including diagnostic radiology and interventional techniques for the international radiological community.

Review Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required for Review Articles. The abstract must be unstructured and no more than 200 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 4500 words excluding references. Review Articles should not contain original research or new data. The manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, relevant declarations, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the manuscript, and a contribution statement identifying who had the idea for the article, who performed the literature search and data analysis, and who drafted and/or critically revised the work.
References References must be cited in the text by numbers in square brackets and listed consecutively in a numbered reference list containing only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication.
Figures & Tables Review Articles must include 8 to 10 figures and 4 tables. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, with large figures submitted separately only if file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order in the text, and accompanied by concise captions.

Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must be 150–250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Purpose, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3500 words excluding references. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, relevant declarations including Competing Interests and Author Contributions, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods or another suitable section, a Declarations section on a separate title page, and a disclosure statement.
References Citations must be numbered in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication, with DOI links included when available.
