Original Research Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for an Original Research Article. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured and contain no subheadings. Abstract must include introductory statement(s) explaining the rationale and hypothesis, a concise summary of the results, and an Impact Statement at the end of the abstract.
Manuscript Introduction must not exceed 750 words and Discussion must not exceed 1,500 words. Manuscript must include a Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Data links, COI, Funding, Acknowledgements, and a Reference List. Title page must include 3 to 6 keywords and a running head of no more than 60 characters, and the manuscript must include an Impact Statement, a COI statement, a Funding section, Data links, and alt text under each figure legend.
References References must follow CSE Author-Date 29.3.3 style. Reference list must include deposited datasets with an accession number or unique identifier such as a DOI, and citations to preprints, meeting abstracts, and presentations are not allowed.
Figures & Tables Tables must be placed at the end of the main manuscript, while supplementary material must be submitted in separate files. Tables must be editable and include a title and legend, and figures must be numbered consecutively with legends and include alt text directly under the relevant figure legend.

Abstract must explain why the topic is important to toxicology, highlight major recent findings, provide suggestions for future research, and end with a one- to two-sentence Impact Statement on why the review is important and how it moves the field forward.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words in total, including a Future Directions section of no more than 500 words. Manuscript must include a Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Review of the literature, Conclusions, Future Directions, Data links, COI, Funding, and Acknowledgements. Title must not exceed 12 words, the text must be understandable to a non-specialist, and the title page must include 3 to 6 keywords.
