Original Articles

Cover Letter Any use of AI tools in manuscript preparation must be disclosed at submission in the cover letter, including the tool name, version, vendor, and specific role.
Abstract Original Articles require an abstract. The abstract must be structured and limited to 300 words. The abstract must be structured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3,000 words excluding the abstract, references, and figure legends. The manuscript must be arranged as title page, abstract and keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, references, figure legends, figures, and tables. The manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords listed in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons, and any AI use must be disclosed in the manuscript acknowledgements if applicable.
References References must not exceed 30. References must conform to NLM style. References must be numbered in brackets in order of appearance, listed at the end in citation order, list all authors when there are six or fewer, and list the first six followed by “et al” when there are seven or more.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must not exceed 10 in total. Figures must be supplied as separate files and not embedded within the text. Each table must have a descriptive title and explanatory paragraph, be numbered with Arabic numerals, and include footnotes explaining nonstandard abbreviations.

Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 1,500 words excluding the cover, tables, figures, and references. Manuscript must be organized in the order of title page, abstract and keywords, introduction, case report(s), discussion, references, tables, figures and photos, and legends, with background presented without the heading “Introduction” and the conclusion summarized at the end without a separate conclusion section. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords listed in alphabetical order, separated by semicolons, and selected with reference to MeSH, and any AI use must also be disclosed in the manuscript acknowledgements if applicable.
References References must not exceed 10. References must conform to NLM style. References must be numbered serially in order of appearance with bracketed citation numbers, listed at the end in citation order, list all authors when there are six or fewer, and list the first six followed by “et al” when there are seven or more.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures together must not exceed 10. Tables must be placed after the references and figures and photos with legends must follow thereafter, and artwork must not be embedded in the text but supplied as separate files. Each table must have a descriptive title and explanatory paragraph, figures must have accompanying legends, and tables must not be submitted as graphic elements.
