Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must confirm that all authors agree with the manuscript content and state the journal field selected for submission.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be limited to 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must state the purpose, basic procedures, main findings, and principal conclusions, using headings such as Aim, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 5,000 words including abstract and references. Manuscript must be presented in the following order: title page, abstract and key words, text, acknowledgments, funding information, conflict of interest, ethics statements, references, supporting information, figure legends, tables, and figures. Five MeSH key words in alphabetical order must be supplied below the abstract, and any AI tool use must be transparently described in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References References should in general be fewer than 30. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited as superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance, list all authors when there are six or fewer and the first three followed by et al. when there are seven or more, and use Index Medicus journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables The total number of figures and tables must not exceed 8. The manuscript order places figure legends, tables, and figures after supporting information, and figures and tables may be submitted within the editable manuscript or as separate files. Figures and tables must have concise, comprehensive legends.
