Reviews

Cover Letter A cover letter is required only to disclose any use of AI to help generate content, write code, or analyze data. The cover letter must disclose any use of AI to help generate content, write code, or analyze data.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must contain fewer than 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include the headings Introduction, Method, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript The main text should have separate Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections, except where not applicable to the article type. The manuscript must disclose any use of AI in the Methods or Acknowledgements section and must include a Data Availability Statement in the paper, even if no data are presented or discussed.
References References must be cited in the text by consecutive superscript numbers, including those cited only in tables or figures.
Figures & Tables Each figure must be submitted as a separate file, figure legends must appear at the end of the main manuscript file, and each table must be typed on a separate page. Reviews must include a PRISMA flow chart in the submission.

Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract may be up to 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must identify the study as randomized in the title and report the trial design, participant eligibility criteria and setting, interventions for each group, specific objective or hypothesis, clearly defined primary outcome, allocation method, blinding status, numbers randomized and analysed in each group, primary outcome results with effect size and precision, important adverse events or side effects, general interpretation, registration number and trial register name, and source of funding.
Manuscript Main text should have separate Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections, and the primary end point and power calculation must be stated clearly. Manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement and disclose any use of AI in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References References must be numbered consecutively in the text using superscript numerals, with references cited only in tables or figures numbered in sequence.
Figures & Tables Each figure must be submitted as a separate file, figure legends must be included at the end of the main manuscript file, and each table must be typed on a separate page. Prospective clinical trials must include a suitable CONSORT flow chart in the submission.

Original Articles

Manuscript Experimental Papers are generally restricted to a maximum of 3500 words. The main text should have separate Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. The manuscript must disclose any use of AI in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References Experimental Papers may include up to 30 references. References in the text must be numbered consecutively by superscript.
Figures & Tables Experimental Papers may include a combined total of five figures and tables. Each figure must be submitted as a separate file, and figure legends must be included in the main manuscript file at the end of the text.
