It publishes original articles, invited and original reviews or commentaries, and letters to the Editor, covering invasive and noninvasive brain stimulation technologies and their effects on neural function, biophysics, therapeutics, ethics, services research, and epidemiology.

Original Research

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words excluding the abstract, references, and title page. Original Research involving a clinical trial in humans must include a section labeled 'Integrity of the Blind.' The manuscript must include article highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points, 1 to 7 keywords, a financial disclosures/conflicts section, and a declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process placed immediately above the references.
References References must be cited as numbers in square brackets in the text and listed in numerical order of appearance, with more than 6 authors shortened to the first 6 followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be placed within the manuscript body or presented separately at the end, and figures must also be supplied as separate files. Tables must be submitted as editable text and figure titles and legends must appear in the manuscript file rather than in the image files.

Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words excluding the abstract, references, and title page. Manuscript must include the general sections title page, abstract, main text, acknowledgments, disclosures, references, tables, figure legends, and figures. The manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, 3 to 5 highlights submitted as a separate editable file, and an AI declaration statement placed immediately above the references if applicable.
References References must be cited using numbered square-bracket citations. References must be numbered in the order of appearance in the text, and for works with more than 6 authors the first 6 should be listed followed by 'et al.'.
