Cardiovascular Intervention and Therapeutics (CVIT) is an international journal spanning the field of cardiovascular disease, including cardiac (coronary and non-coronary) and peripheral interventions and therapeutics. It publishes original articles, images in cardiovascular intervention, and invited review articles, and is the official journal of The Japanese Society for Interventional Cardiology.

Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for submission. The cover letter must state that the manuscript is original and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
Abstract Original Articles must include a summary. The summary must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Original Articles must not exceed 6000 words including title, abstract, text, references, figure legends, tables, and acknowledgments. Manuscripts must be assembled in the order Title Page, Abstract, Text, Acknowledgments, References, Figure Legends, Tables, and Figures. Original Articles must include a graphical abstract figure and a disclosure statement, and the manuscript must include three to five keywords after the abstract and a Declarations section before the reference list.
References The number of references must not exceed 30. Citations must be numbered in square brackets in the text, references must be numbered consecutively, and reference entries must list all authors if there are 6 or fewer or the first 6 followed by "et al." if there are 7 or more.
Figures & Tables The number of figures must not exceed 5. The manuscript must be assembled with figure legends, tables, and figures after the references, and figures and tables must be cited in numerical order. Each figure must have a legend, each table must have a title, and the graphical abstract figure must be original and not previously published.

Invited Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for submission. The cover letter must state that the manuscript is original and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Invited Review Articles usually must not exceed 8000 words. Manuscripts must be assembled in the order Title Page, Abstract, Text, Acknowledgments, References, Figure Legends, Tables, and Figures. The manuscript should include three to five keywords, a section entitled "Declarations" before the reference list, a disclosure statement, and a statement identifying who had the idea for the article, who performed the literature search and data analysis, and who drafted and or critically revised the work.
References References must not exceed 30. References must be cited in numerical order using numbers in square brackets, the reference list must be numbered consecutively, and entries must list all authors if there are 6 or fewer or the first 6 followed by "et al." if there are 7 or more.
Figures & Tables The number of figures must not exceed 5. Figures and tables must be cited in numerical order, figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals and include a legend or caption, and each table must have a title.
