Original Research Manuscript

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must explain why the submission is appropriate for publication in Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, state what is known about the topic, state what the study adds, and confirm that the paper has not been published elsewhere.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 350 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background and Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The manuscript should not normally exceed 3500 words excluding the abstract. The manuscript must contain the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Acknowledgements. The manuscript must include 3 to 6 keywords in English and, if AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, a disclosure statement in a new section before the references list.
References The manuscript may include up to 50 references. References must be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and numbered in the order they appear in the article.
Figures & Tables There are no specific limits for tables and figures. Figures and other graphical media must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images and all figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text and include captions.

Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images and both figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text.
