Submission Instructions

Current Opinion In Lipidology is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Review

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Review articles must include a structured abstract. The abstract must be no longer than 200 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Purpose of review, Recent findings, and Summary.
Manuscript The review must be approximately 2,500 words excluding references. The review must include an introduction, subdivided text with headings and titled paragraphs, and a short concluding paragraph. The manuscript must include 3–5 keywords, 3–5 one-sentence key bullet points after the main text, and separate Acknowledgements, Financial support and sponsorship, and Conflicts of interest paragraphs, with any AI authoring tool use included only in Acknowledgements.
References References must be in Vancouver style and numbered in numerical sequence. References must list the first three authors or all authors if there are four or fewer, and important references from the past 12–18 months must be bulleted and annotated.
Figures & Tables Reviews may include up to four additional elements in any combination of figures and tables. Figures and tables must not be embedded in the text and must be submitted as separate files, while figure titles and legends must appear in the main text after the references. All figures and tables must be cited in the text, all illustrations must be labelled as figures, figures must include titles and legends, and tables must have an appropriate title.
