Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background and Objectives, Research Design and Methods, Results, and Discussion and Implications.
Manuscript Main text is limited to 6,000 words. Main text must include the sections Background and Objectives, Research Design and Methods, Results, and Discussion and Implications. Manuscript must include three to five keywords below the abstract, a 100-word innovation and translational significance statement below the abstract, and any AI use must be disclosed in the Materials and Methods or similar section.
References Manuscript must follow either APA 7th edition or AMA 11th edition style. References must be displayed in full and placed on a separate page immediately following the text.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must be included in the main document, with tables placed after the references and figures placed after the tables. All images, figures, illustrations, and photographs must include alt text directly under the relevant figure legend in the main manuscript file.
