International Review of Psychiatry publishes international research in psychiatry, including psychiatric disorders, therapeutics, and rehabilitation. It is a bimonthly review journal in which each issue is dedicated to a specific theme relevant to psychiatry and is edited by recognized experts selected by the editors and editorial board. The journal serves an international readership of clinicians, academics, educators, researchers, and trainees, and covers areas including epidemiology, services and public health, psychiatric disorders and etiologies, therapeutics and rehabilitation, cognitive and basic neurosciences, psychiatric methodologies, and psychiatry in medicine.

International Review of Psychiatry is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Research Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must include Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 keywords, a disclosure statement under the subheading “Disclosure of interest,” and a statement disclosing whether and how generative AI was used in the research and manuscript preparation process.
References References must follow APA 7 style. References must appear at the end under the heading “References,” include all cited works with corresponding in-text citations, and be ordered alphabetically by first author surname.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be embedded within the manuscript text or submitted as separate documents. Tables must be supplied as editable files.
