Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript text must contain 3000 words or fewer, excluding the abstract, reference list, tables, and figure legends. Manuscript should include a brief Introduction and sections labeled Methods, Results, and Discussion. Authors must report and define sex or gender and describe how sex or gender was assessed, and main outcomes should be reported by sex or gender whenever possible.
References References and in-text citations must follow AMA style, 11th edition. References must be numbered in the order cited, listed in a separate section at the end of the manuscript, and for periodical articles with more than six authors should list the first three followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Articles may include no more than 8 figures, tables, and boxes combined. Figures must be submitted separately from the main manuscript file, while tables must be included at the end of the manuscript file. Alt text must be provided in the main manuscript file directly under each relevant figure legend.
