Original Research
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. The cover letter must attest to originality, note any relevant conflicts of interest, attest to the authorship criteria, and include the preprint DOI and URL if the manuscript was posted on a preprint server.
Abstract
A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript
Main text must not exceed 3,500 words, excluding tables, figures, abstract, and references. Manuscript must be organized under the main headings Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and Acknowledgments, with a statement on clinical relevance or implications for practice or policy included in the Discussion. The manuscript must include 3–5 keywords, disclose any AI tool use in the Materials and Methods or a similar section, and include conflicts of interest and funding information on the title page under the heading “Conflicts of Interest and Source of Funding:.”
References
Up to 40 references are permitted. References must follow American Medical Association style. References must be cited in order of appearance as superscript numerals, and if a reference has more than six authors or editors, only the first three should be listed followed by "et al".
Figures & Tables
A maximum of 5 tables and figures in total is permitted, with additional tables allowed only as supplemental online data. Tables and figures must be uploaded as separate files and must not be embedded within the manuscript body. Figure legends must be provided on a separate manuscript page after the references, and tables must be grouped in a separate file.

An abstract is required. Abstract must be limited to 250 words. Abstract must include specified content rather than a formally structured heading format. Abstract must include a description of the guideline, the methods, and the main recommendations.
Manuscript
Manuscript headings should include the rationale for the guideline, the focus of the guideline, the target population, the methods or process, solicited comments and changes, recommendations, implications for care, research and implementation, and a summary. The manuscript should provide 3–5 keywords and must disclose any AI tool use in the Materials and Methods section or a similar section, while conflicts of interest and funding must be stated on the title page under “Conflicts of Interest and Source of Funding:” and support must be acknowledged.

Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract structure type is not explicitly stated. The abstract must include a brief background and context, the case(s), and a discussion.
Manuscript
The main text must not exceed 1500 words, excluding tables, figures, and references. The manuscript must be limited to 1–3 cases and include relevant history, physical findings, laboratory findings, a review of prior cases and case series, and a discussion that makes clear the new knowledge and its implications.
