Original Articles

Cover Letter The cover letter must acknowledge that all authors contributed significantly and describe each author’s contribution to the paper.
Abstract required No more than 250 words. structured Abstracts must use subheadings.
Manuscript No more than 4,000 words including the abstract, excluding highlights, references, tables, and figures. Use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Highlights must be included as 2 to 3 sentences and no more than 80 words, three to five keywords must appear below the abstract in alphabetical order, and any use of AI-generated content tools must be described transparently and in detail in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be submitted in separate files, and figures may be accompanied by a graphical abstract submitted separately. Figures and tables must have legends, tables must be self-contained and complement rather than duplicate the text, figures must be cited in consecutive order in the text, and the graphical abstract must be a new stand-alone image that fits within 50 mm x 60 mm and is fully legible at that size.
