Submission Instructions
Journal of Huntington s Disease accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.
Research Article
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. The cover letter should indicate why the manuscript is suitable for publication and must state any third-party writing or editing assistance or if the submission was prepared on behalf of the authors by someone not listed as an author, if applicable.
Abstract
A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be 250 words or less. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must concisely state the purpose of the research, major findings, and conclusions.
Manuscript
The manuscript is usually between 2000 and 4000 words. The manuscript must include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Include a minimum of 5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions section after the Acknowledgements, a Statements and Declarations section at the end of the article with 'Not applicable' under any declaration that does not apply, and disclose AI use in the Acknowledgements or Methodology section when required by the journal's AI use policy.
References
References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and vice versa, with identical spelling and year in both places.
Figures & Tables
Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the running text for separately submitted figures. Figures must be numbered consecutively and include a number and title, while tables must be labeled as tables and include a number and title.
Review Articles
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. Cover letter should explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and must include applicable disclosure of any third-party writing or editing assistance or preparation on behalf of the authors.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured because Review Articles omit Methods and Results sections.
Manuscript
Review Articles should follow the Research Report format but omit Introduction through Discussion and include a Conclusion. Include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions section after Acknowledgements, a Statements and Declarations section at the end, and disclose AI use in the Acknowledgements or Methodology section when required.
References
References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and vice versa, with identical spelling and year in both places.
