Abstract An abstract is required.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 12,000 words, excluding the abstract, section titles, figure and table captions, funding statement, acknowledgments, and references. Manuscript should follow the format Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion, with INTRODUCTION containing no subheadings and the main sections allowed to use field-equivalent titles. At submission, include 5 to 8 keywords and a 200-word Contribution to the Field Statement that explains the research to a non-expert without technical language or non-standard acronyms.
References References must use the Vancouver citation system. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, list the first six authors followed by et al., and include the DOI when available.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 15 figures and tables combined is allowed. Figures must be submitted individually and captions placed at the end of the manuscript, while tables must be inserted directly at the end of the manuscript in editable source form. Each figure and table must be cited in numerical order in the text, and figure panels must be labeled with capital letters such as (A), (B), (C), and (D).
