Journal of Reproductive Immunology is affiliated with the International Society for Immunology of Reproduction, Japanese Society for Immunology Reproduction, Asian Association for Reproductive Immunology, and European Society for Reproductive Immunology. It publishes high quality research in experimental, animal, and clinical reproductive immunobiology, covering normal and pathological processes in male and female reproductive tracts, gametogenesis, embryogenesis, implantation, placental development, gestation, parturition, mammary gland, and lactation, as well as infectious disease, inflammation, autoimmunity, mucosal immunology, cytokines, immunoendocrinology, reproductive immunotherapies, immunogenetics, developmental immunology, reproductive cancers, and immunological techniques relevant to reproductive processes or dysfunction.

Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured with no subheadings or separate sections. Abstract must state objectives, study design, main outcome measures, results, and conclusions.
Manuscript Original Articles should generally not exceed 3000 words. Manuscript should be structured as Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, References, Tables, and Figure Legends. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, article highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points submitted as a separate editable file, and a generative AI declaration section before the references if AI tools were used in manuscript preparation.
References Original Articles should generally not exceed 45 references. References must be arranged alphabetically by the first author's last name and then chronologically, and references with more than 6 authors must list the first 6 authors followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include up to 4 figures and up to 4 tables. Tables must be included in the uploaded files, while figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions, and all artwork must have captions.

Review Articles

Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Review Articles. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be unstructured with no subheadings or separate sections.
Manuscript Review Articles should range from 2,000 to 3,000 words. Review Articles should use numbered sections and subsections, with the Introduction explaining the topic’s importance and objectives and the Conclusion covering clinical implications and the need for additional research. The manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, article highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points submitted as a separate editable file, a declaration statement before the references if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, and a list of original research papers on which the authors are listed as an author to demonstrate expertise in the relevant field.
References Review Articles should include 30 to 50 references. References must be arranged alphabetically by the first author’s last name and then chronologically, use author-year in-text citations, distinguish same-year works by the same author with letters, and list the first 6 authors followed by “et al.” when there are more than 6 authors.
Figures & Tables Tables must be included as editable text and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables and figures must be cited in the manuscript text, numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and provided with captions.
