Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must state that the manuscript is original, is not under consideration elsewhere, has not been previously published in any form, and that all authors approve the final version and its submission.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and no more than 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Research Articles must be 4,000-6,000 words and 8-10 published pages. Manuscript must include Materials/Subjects and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, Author contributions, Conflicts of interest, and Financial support sections. Manuscript must include at least 10 keywords, and any use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References Research Articles must include at least 50 references. References must use American Medical Association citation style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance using superscript Arabic numerals, journal names must follow PubMed abbreviations, and lists must include up to 6 authors or editors before using the first 3 followed by "et al."
Figures & Tables Each figure must be placed on a separate sheet after the reference list with its title and legend. Each figure must have a descriptive title and self-explanatory legend, be cited consecutively in the text, and any abbreviations or labels on the image must be explained in the legend.

Figures & Tables Each figure must be placed on a separate sheet after the reference list with its title and legend. Each figure must have a fully descriptive, self-explanatory legend, be cited consecutively in the text, and include a magnification scale bar on micrographs.
