Original Papers

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Original Papers must include a structured abstract. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Original Papers should ideally be 3,000 to 3,500 words maximum excluding the abstract, figure legends, and references. The manuscript must be structured as Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. The manuscript must include a word count, line numbering, a short Key Message, and up to 7 keywords, with any AI tool use disclosed in the Materials and Methods section.
References Original Papers may include a maximum of 30 to 50 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and cited in the text using Arabic superscript numerals.
Figures & Tables Original Papers may include no more than 6 figures and tables in total. Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while tables are included after the references in the main text file. Tables must be supplied as editable files rather than images, and figure legends must define all symbols, abbreviations, and units of measurement.
