Pediatric Pulmonology is a global journal focused on respiratory system health and disease from fetal life through adolescence and adulthood. It publishes clinical and basic scientific research on pediatric respiratory disorders including pathological anatomy, developmental issues, asthma, and cystic fibrosis, and is published on behalf of the International Society of Paediatric Respiratory Diseases (INSPiRED).

Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must state the topic being studied and how the article contributes to the literature, and for studies of humans it must also state the age range of the population studied.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript text must be limited to 3,500 words, excluding the abstract and references. Original research articles must be organized as Title Page, Summary/Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and References, with each section starting on a new page. The title page must include 3 to 5 keywords.
References References must be limited to 40. References must follow CSE citation-sequence style. References must be numbered in order of first appearance in the text, cited as superscript numbers before punctuation, and list the first 10 authors followed by 'et al' when a work has more than 10 authors.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must total no more than 6 in any combination. Tables must be submitted as separate DOC or RTF files rather than included in the Main Document, and images must not be embedded in the Main Document.

Review/State Of The Art Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required as part of the main document. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Review articles should be limited to 4,000 words and State of the Art Articles should be limited to 5,000 words, excluding the abstract and references. Review articles must clearly describe the literature search strategy, including databases searched, dates, and keywords. The title page must include 3 to 5 keywords.
References References must follow CSE citation-sequence style. References must be numbered in order of first appearance in the text, cited as superscript numbers before punctuation, and list the first 10 authors followed by 'et al' when there are more than 10 authors.
Figures & Tables Tables must be submitted as separate DOC or RTF files rather than included in the main document, and images must be uploaded separately rather than embedded in the main document. Tables must be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text, and image legends must be provided in a separate DOC file under the heading "Image Legends".

Manuscript Clinical Curiosity reports should be limited to 3,000 words. Clinical Curiosity manuscripts must include an introduction, case presentation, discussion, and conclusion. Clinical Curiosity reports must include 3 challenge points with learner reflection questions, at least 3 podcasts with a written script, and a minimum of 3 discussants.
References Clinical Curiosity reports must include no more than 20 references. References must be prepared according to CSE citation-sequence style. References must be numbered in the sequence of first appearance, cited in the text as superscript numbers before punctuation, and list the first 10 authors followed by 'et al' when there are more than 10 authors.
Figures & Tables Clinical Curiosity reports may include no more than 5 figures and tables combined. Tables must not be included in the Main Document and images must not be embedded in the Main Document.
