Research and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis (RPTH) is the open access journal of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH). It publishes eight issues per year and focuses on thrombosis and haemostasis research, including quality, outcomes, dissemination and implementation science, with an emphasis on rigorous, rapid peer review and immediate dissemination of research reports.

Review Articles
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. Cover letter must confirm submission for publication consideration and that all authors have read and approved the manuscript for submission.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract requirements conflict because the article type is stated to require both a structured and an unstructured abstract.
Manuscript
Main text must not exceed 5,000 words excluding the abstract. Include at least five MeSH keywords in alphabetical order following the Summary, provide four lay-language 'Essentials' bullet points immediately after the keywords, and add an AI-use disclosure statement at the end of the manuscript before the references if generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in writing.
References
Include no more than 100 references. References must be cited by number in square brackets in the text and listed in numerical order of first appearance.
Figures & Tables
Include no more than eight tables or figures. Provide a legend for each figure grouped at the end of the main text, cite tables and figures in the text, and number both tables and figures with Arabic numerals.

Abstract
An abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and no more than 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must begin with "A State of the Art lecture titled "title of lecture" was presented at the ISTH congress in 20xx." and end with "Finally, we summarize relevant new data on this topic presented during the 20xx ISTH Congress.".
Manuscript
Manuscript should include no more than 5,000 words excluding the abstract. Manuscript must conclude with an ISTH Congress Report section and a Future Directions section. Manuscript must include at least five keywords in alphabetical order following the Summary, four lay-language bullet points under the heading "Essentials" immediately after the keywords, and a generative AI use statement at the end of the manuscript before the references if applicable.

References should not exceed 100. References must be cited by number in square brackets in the text and listed in the order of first appearance.
Figures & Tables

Manuscript
Recommendations and Guidelines follow the same formatting rules as Original Articles and must be clearly identified as SSC Communications. At least five MeSH keywords in alphabetical order are required after the Summary, the Essentials section may be omitted, four lay-language Essentials bullet points are otherwise required, and a generative AI disclosure statement must appear at the end of the manuscript before the references.
