Research Protocols

Cover Letter A separately submitted cover letter is required. The cover letter must describe each author’s specific contribution, affirm that the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and describe any supplemental materials uploaded with the manuscript.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract may be up to 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must conclude with either a "Patient or Public Contribution" paragraph or a "No Patient or Public Contribution" paragraph, and three to five keywords must follow the abstract.
Manuscript Main text, excluding title page, abstract, references, tables, and figures, must not exceed 5500 words. Manuscript must provide an introduction and methods as for a research report and include discussion sections covering Progress to Date and Lessons Learned. Three to five keywords must appear after the abstract, and the manuscript must not include results intended for later publication.
References References must follow APA Style. DOI numbers must be included for all sources for which they are available.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must not be embedded in the main text document and must be submitted as separate files. Figure captions must be provided in word processor text rather than included in the image itself.
