Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology is an international scholarly journal focused on the epidemiology of psychiatric disorders, especially their social, biological, and genetic dimensions, as well as mental health services. It publishes specialized investigations in social psychology, sociology, anthropology, epidemiology, health service research, health economics, public mental health, and cross-cultural and trans-cultural themes, and does not publish case studies or small case series.

Abstract An abstract is required for Research articles. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,500 words excluding references. Manuscript must include a Declarations section before the reference list. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, a Data Availability Statement, and author contribution information in the Declarations section, and any use of a large language model must be documented in the Methods section or a suitable alternative section.
References Citations must be numbered in square brackets in the text and the reference list must be numbered consecutively.
Figures & Tables Research articles may include up to 5 tables or figures. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text unless file size causes upload problems, in which case large figures should be submitted separately. Tables and figures must be numbered in Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order in the text, and accompanied by captions.
